The Use of found objects as puppets
So i have Been and always have loved the puppets that were made from there subject matter. In chapter four i saw a picture of Jane Philips' Miss Junk who is mearly a little cloth a necklace upside down water can and a pair of empty frame glasses. the purpose is to let kids better connect to the subject mater through a feeling of fun and a slight sense of humor. The traits of this puppet are to mimic not replicate actualality. The traits in this Character appear to to be that of a elderly gardener or some one who is caring enough to stop and smell the flowers. Pg 100 Chpt 4

I saw that picture too and my understanding of puppets expanded. I only thought of puppets as hand shadow and marionettes. When I saw this I started seeing puppets in everyday items around my room. It is neat the things you can make when you let your mind run rampant.
